Criteria
Any NRC staff member unable to take the mandatory face-to-face field first aid course
Following this course, the student will be able to:
- Evaluate an incident, secure an accident scene, and summon help
- Identify a catastrophic bleed, recognize its life-threatening implications and effectively treat it with or without a trauma first aid kit
- Deliver correct Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
- Correctly respond to foreign body obstruction in the airway
- Identify the correct first response and treatment of open wounds and severe bleedings
- Identify symptoms of stroke, seizure, diabetic- and other medical emergencies
