Team Orientation Badge

The University of Oulu is an international science university that creates new knowledge, well-being and innovations for the future through research and education. The University of Oulu, founded in 1958, is one of the largest and most multidisciplinary universities in Finland.

For this purpose, arrange a team meeting and discuss the following. The basic idea is for you to organize your project teamwork and formulate your group norms/values based on following-

• What are the expertise in your team? How will you put it into use during the project?
• What would you like to learn during the project (skills, knowledge)?
• What do you expect from each other as project team members? Do you like to point specific roles (e.g. project manager/contact person, secretary, other)? Are you circulating roles or are these stable through the project?
• What are the ways in which you will organize your teamwork? (e.g. communication strategies, work environments, tools)
• What are some of the non-negotiable elements for your project team?
• How will you address and solve possible conflicts?
• Name your project team and summarize topical issues from your discussion by creating project team board.

CRITERIA

The submission contains group discussions around the points mentioned in the badge description which will be crucial to understand the group's orientation or readiness for socially shared emotions and motivation regulation. Project team will summarize discussion in project team board which will be presented in teaching session.

EVIDENCE

Uploading Team board in Microsoft Teams (project team’s channel) and presenting it in the teaching session. Each team member will participate in the presentation and allocated time for the presentation is 15 min.
