The M365 Fundamentals Badge is a vital stepping stone to increase the digital literacy of UCC staff to enhance their ability to run the business of UCC. Enabling the digital transformation of UCC as a connected university Cloud computing will increase productivity and efficiency and improve data security. The M365 Fundamentals Badge training will outline the basic concepts of how to use Microsoft 365. It will include the importance of storing data securely and give an understanding of what cloud storage is and how to use it. The basic elements of using Outlook, Word, and Excel Online will be covered. It will also demonstrate how to upload, retrieve and synchronise files using OneDrive for Business.

Criteria

By undertaking this training staff will understand the relevance of storing and saving data securely using either cloud storage or a secure network.

Staff will be able to access work files from anywhere at any time. They will be able to use web enabled access to email and work documents allowing for greater flexibility in the workplace.

Staff will be able to carry out tasks and collaborate with colleagues quickly and efficiently, and therefore streamline current processes.

Staff will know the difference between the browser and client versions of word and excel and be able to edit using the either version.
