Awarding criteria

The learner has accessed all six Units and completed the end-of-course assessment with a pass mark of 70% or above.

The course has five learning objectives. After successfully the course, learners will be able to:

• Choose what aspects of production need to be measured
• Implement appropriate food loss measurement strategies

The course is designed for anyone with an interest in measuring food loss. It’s especially relevant to the primary production sector, public administrators, researchers and non-governmental organisations. It's suitable for anyone anywhere in the world, but focuses specifically on a system for measuring food loss in Europe.

Measuring Food Loss is part of a wider training programme developed by FOLOU, a Horizon Europe project with 16 partners across Europe. The project runs from 2023 to 2026 and is funded by the European Union’s Horizon Europe research and innovation program, under Grant Agreement: 101084106.
