Fundamentals of Research

The Fundamentals of Research microcredential is earned by completing a short (approximately 5 hours), non-credit, self-paced, online course. Earning this microcredential requires demonstrated foundational knowledge of the scientific research process and the objective of scientific research. Students will be able to identify the characteristics of a good research question, develop their own research question, and identify the different parts of the research process.

Criteria

This micro-credential is assessed by three auto-graded quizzes with matching and true/false question types. Earners must receive at least a 100% score on all quizzes with unlimited attempts and an 80% score on the summative final exam, and can do so using three attempts.
