Save the Children is a global movement made up of national member organisations. Save the Children UK is the oldest and one of the biggest members.
The earner of this badge can successfully demonstrate that they have achieved Unit 4 learning objectives:
• List and define the different phases of the humanitarian-development nexus.
• Identify some of the key education activities related to each phase.
• Explain how a nexus approach to programming contributes to systemic resilience.
• Select the education coherence guiding principle which best represents the nexus scenario presented.
This badge is earned by completing the necessary activities, knowledge check tasks and feedback requests within Unit 4.
Unit 4: Humanitarian-Development Nexus & EiE
This course unit has been developed by Save the Children in collaboration with INEE, Plan International and many other contributing partners. The EiE Online course explicitly links to the INEE Competency Framework and is a foundational pre-requisite for the accredited EiE Certificate of Advanced Studies (CAS), delivered in partnership with the University of Geneva (see the EiE Professional Development Programme webpage for more information on this).
