Criteria

Supporting Effective Humanitarian Partnerships (SEHP) is a self-guided online pathway specifically for humanitarian workers in South Sudan. Through it, learners develop their understanding about the following set of competencies:

  1. Upholding humanitarian principles and standards
  2. Ensuring safety and security
  3. Working effectively and impactfully
  4. Maintaining professionalism and resilience

In total this represents around 23 hours of study.

It is experiential, thought-provoking and rich in interactivity, with formative activities throughout which learners archive in their learning journal for future reference. A summative test at the end of the course requires a pass mark of 60%.

Learners who complete the course will develop essential skills and knowledge for working in the humanitarian sector as identified through the SEHP competency framework for South Sudan. Specifically, this pathway aims to prepare learners to respond more effectively and efficiently in their humanitarian work, in alignment with humanitarian principles and standards.
