Study Skills

The Study Skills course in the My Digital Backpack is designed to help students develop the essential academic skills needed for success at third level. Divided into a series of focused units, each one addresses a key topic in academic writing and study practice. Learners engage with interactive content, practice activities, downloadable resources, and a final quiz to check understanding. This course supports students in developing their ability to find and evaluate credible sources of information, engage respectfully in online spaces, and make effective use of learning and support technologies. The Academic Study Skills course was created by ATU for the HigherEd4All and iNOTE projects, both funded by the Higher Education System Innovation and Transformation Call 2018. My Digital Backpack was developed under the N‑TUTORR programme and funded by the European Union under the NextGenerationEU initiative, as part of Ireland’s National Recovery and Resilience Plan (NRRP).
