Whereas anyone in investigations will, at some point, come into contact with cybercrime or digitised crime, there are those investigators and specialists who deal with these issues in their investigations daily. The Cybercrime Advanced course allows these investigators and specialists to expand the knowledge, competences, and tools needed to perform these investigations with (even) greater efficiency. Upon successful completion of the training, participants will receive the Cybercrime Advanced Badge. This course is part of the Cybercrime training trajectory .

Criteria

To receive this Badge the following criteria have been established.

Acquired competences and skills

  • Gaining insight into current cybercrime trends and developments.
  • Gaining knowledge of National/European authorities and legal frameworks with regard to cybercrime.
  • Being able to investigate the front-ends of, for example, phishing websites or online stores.
  • Being able to investigate complex mail headers and DNS-records.
  • Being able to extract, investigate and interpret data from secured data carriers.
  • Being able to conduct basic investigations on the darknet.
  • Being able to investigate and map IoT and connected devices.

This course is part of the Cybercrime training trajectory that also includes the Basic and Professional courses. After completing all three courses you will receive the Cybercrime Complete Badge.
