Learning Objectives/Outcomes

  • To be able to successfully discuss and describe experiences based on professional practise within the creative sectors
  • To reflect on both personal and professional competencies, relating to the candidate's professional experience

Learning and Recognition Experience

  • Participate in a 3-hour peer-to-peer learning session with the guidance of the national Peer Reviewer in preparation for a Professional Dialogue. This will involve answering 6 prepared and 6 unprepared questions from 2 Peer Reviewers within your sector.
  • Following the preparation session, engage in a 30-minute structured conversation that will be recorded. During the conversation, 2 Peer Reviewers will take turns asking you a prepared question followed by an unprepared question that relates to your response to the initial question. It will be important to carefully consider your answers to the follow-up questions while the conversation is being recorded.
  • The national Peer Reviewer may be present with you physically, while the international Peer Reviewer may participate virtually through electronic means. Alternatively, both Peer Reviewers may be present either physically or virtually.

Assessment

  • Directly after the Professional Dialogue, the candidate leaves the meeting and the 2 Peer reviewers can use up to 30 minutes to discuss the performance and engagement of the candidate in the Professional Dialogue.
  • The Professional Dialogue is recorded for evidence purposes with 2 Peer reviewers (1 national/1 international) who are required to confirm that the candidate has completed the final milestone in their journey through this Sector Expert Award. If so, then the milestone award is issued by the international peer reviewer.
