Criteria

The earner of this badge can successfully demonstrate that they have achieved Unit 2 learning objectives:

• List and categorise common barriers to education in emergencies

• Identify possible EiE response components to overcomes these barriers

• Explain the overarching aims of EiE and provide examples of response components which contribute to realising these objectives

This badge is earned by completing the necessary activities, knowledge check tasks and feedback requests within Unit 2.

Unit 2: Barriers to & Aims of EiE

This course unit has been developed by Save the Children in collaboration with INEE, Plan International and many other contributing partners. The EiE Online course explicitly links to the INEE Competency Framework and is a foundational pre-requisite for the accredited EiE Certificate of Advanced Studies (CAS), delivered in partnership with the University of Geneva (see the EiE Professional Development Programme webpage for more information on this).
