To earn this credential, the holder has:

• Completed ILM Meets Compliance: Consulting course on Basware Knowledge Network, which builds on the Foundational and Discussional levels with the depth needed to guide configuration, design and delivery decisions in customer engagements.
• Passed in-course knowledge checks.
• Completed the course within the cohort window assigned by Basware. Periodic renewal is required to keep the credential current as the regulatory landscape evolves.

On completion, the holder demonstrates the ability to:

• Trace the audit trails end to end. Follow the invoice audit trail across every phase — from Business Partner Onboarding through Payment — and identify where evidence chains can break and where compliance risk concentrates.
• Read the regulatory model behind the mandate. Differentiate the three regulatory models — clearance, interoperability, and post-audit and predict how each shifts the process and design pressure points a customer will face.
• Hold both compliance lenses when configuring. Distinguish fiscal compliance from commercial compliance, and apply both lenses when making configuration and design decisions — including non-standard configuration exceptions, where the holder can pause, document compliance implications, and reframe customer conversations around long-term defensibility rather than short-term accommodation.
• Triage compliance requests with judgment. Evaluate compliance-related questions using the Green / Yellow / Red model and execute the correct response — handle, document, or escalate — without overstepping Basware's enablement boundary.
