Academic Integrity

Atlantic Technological University (ATU) is a Higher Education technological university based in the west and northwest of Ireland.

Students are members of a global academic community. As a members of this community they have a responsibility to operate within the ethical expectations of their learning environment. In this course, we define academic integrity as 'acting with the values of honesty, trust, fairness, respect and responsibility in learning, teaching and research.' (Universities Australia, 2017). Via various interactive scenarios and learning objects, the Academic Integrity course in My Digital Backpack provides an overview of the core principles of academic integrity and what it means to behave ethically in the academic community. On completion of the Academic Integrity course the student is issued this digital badge and will have an understanding of the values, skills, and behaviours that are vital to studying with academic integrity.

To achieve the badge, the student must complete all of the content and pass a multiple choice quiz (with a score of at least 80%) after each module.
