This module provides essential knowledge in relation to AI compliance. It focuses on the essential obligations for stakeholders in the AI Act: the criteria for risk classification, the different obligations according to the risk classification, post-market monitoring, the administrative structure at the EU level and in Member States, and the consequences of non-compliance.

Recipient of the Open Badge:

  • Is familiar with the most relevant questions surrounding AI compliance.

  • Has substantial knowledge about the ongoing policy discussions at the EU level and at the international level, where applicable.

  • Has developed expertise in relation to the core obligations of stakeholders in the AI value chain, whether they are providers, deployers, importers or others.

  • Understands the necessary procedures to undergo before an AI system can be placed on the market or be put into service and is familiar with the requirements of post-market surveillance.

The studies correspond to EQF level 7 / Dreyfuss Competent Performer level (3/5).

AI Compliance is a 1 ECTS training module and part of the 5 ECTS Responsible AI-Powered Organization competence training. The training was conducted in collaboration between the Faculty of Law at the University of Helsinki and the Center for Continuing Education HY+, as part of a pilot for work-life-oriented, micro-credential competence training, funded by the Service Centre for Continuous Learning and Employment.
