Criteria

To earn this badge, the learner must demonstrate the following:

Understanding of key concepts

  • Can explain the basic principles of intercultural communication (e.g., culture, communication styles, values, stereotypes, and intercultural sensitivity).

  • Shows awareness of the role of language, non-verbal communication, and cultural context in interactions.

Application in practice

  • Participates actively in a transnational team, demonstrating openness, respect, and curiosity toward cultural diversity.

  • Practices adapting communication strategies to different cultural and linguistic backgrounds.

  • Contributes constructively to shared tasks and discussions, showing willingness to listen and learn from others.

Reflection and self-awareness

  • Reflects on personal communication style and how it influences intercultural interaction.

  • Identifies challenges and learning moments in transnational teamwork and considers ways to improve intercultural competence.
