This badge recognises students who actively contribute to the vibrancy and inclusiveness of campus life. By participating in or organising events, clubs, and initiatives, badge earners demonstrate a commitment to building a connected and supportive campus community.
Emerging Leaders Programme is a co-curricular social purpose and leadership development programme for University of Otago students. The programme is a joint initiative by the Social Impact Studio and the Career Development Centre.

Criteria
To achieve the Student and Campus Engagement Badge, students must:
- complete a minimum of 30 related Activity Hours
- submit evidence of their Activity Hours
- complete a guided reflection on the skills, experience and impact achieved through their Activity Hours
