Póstaeir san Oireachtas

The SURE Network was established in 2017 by a community of institutions interested in enhancing practice in undergraduate research in the Sciences.

To earn this badge, recipients must have successfully completed the following:

1. Nomination & Selection

• Nominated by their Higher Education Institution.
• Shortlisted internally and selected nationally by the PsO committee.

2. Creation of Public-Facing Research Artifacts

• Poster: Designed for a lay audience, clearly communicating the research topic and its relevance.
• Abstract & Title: Written in plain language, accessible to non-specialist audiences.
• Narrated Presentation: A recorded presentation explaining the research and poster content in an engaging and understandable format.

3. Policy Engagement & Public Communication

• Poster Pitch Training: Attended a dedicated workshop focused on tailoring their research pitch for policy audiences.
• Public Engagement: Invited their local public representatives to the PsO event at the Oireachtas.
• Policy Dialogue: Actively engaged with politicians and policy makers during the Oireachtas event, contributing to research-policy exchange.
