This certificate is awarded for active and successful participation in an innovation management workshop based on the gamified tool Incertinno® developed by Innovation Way. This tool, aligned with the ISO 56007 standard, aims to stimulate reflection and develop innovation management skills through a playfuyl approach. The tool, which takes the form of a card game, can be kept and reused by participants on any innovative project. Participants demonstrated a good understanding of key concepts related to innovation management. They were able to grasp the main areas of uncertainty inherent in innovation projects, and identify critical uncertainties in a particular project using the gamified tool Incertinno®. They have also learned to differentiate between the desirability, feasibility, and viability of a project and the importance of addressing these different dimensions to maximize the chances of success.

Engaging action with a gamified tool

Incertinno® gamified tool supports project teams in identifying uncertainties during the development of an innovative project. It also guides them in building a concrete action plan to address these uncertainties. Inspired by the ISO 56007 – Tools and methods for managing opportunities and ideas standard and organized around the acronym METRO© (Market, Ecosystem, Technology, Resources, Organization), Incertinno® also includes an assessment of the desirability, feasibility, and viability of projects. It is a powerful tool for structuring collective thinking around the management of innovation projects.

Key learnings

The recipient of this certificate has learned to:

  • master the conceptual foundations of innovation management in accordance with ISO 56007 – Management of opportunities and ideas,
  • identify areas of uncertainty in a project using the METRO© (Market, Ecosystem, Technology, Resources, Organization),
  • identify assumptions and formulate hypotheses in a context of uncertainty,
  • identify critical uncertainties and design an action plan to reduce them using the gamified tool Incertinno®,
  • assess the maturity of a project using the criteria of desirability, feasibility, and viability based on the gamified tool Incertinno®.

How to obtain this certificate IM | Practitioner

The certificate was issued on the basis of the:

  • participation in one or more workshops based on the Incertinno® game;
  • the completion of practical activities in small groups using Incertinno® cards to identify and qualify uncertainties related to a specific case;
  • oral presentation in a group of an analysis of the uncertainties related to a project and proposals for actions to address them, carried out with the support of a certified IM | Practice Facilitator.

Incertinno® is a gamified tool published by Innovation Way, a company specialized in tools and methods for innovation consulting. Representatives of Innovation Way have been involved in the standardization work of ISO TC 279, which is responsible for developing the ISO 56000 Series standards, since the committee was set up, both as experts and in leadership positions.

Innovation Way guarantees the skills of the session facilitators through a rigorous certification process. This process ensures that facilitators have acquired the necessary skills to guide participants in discovering the specificities of innovation management using the Incertinno® gamified tool in an effective and professional manner.

The IM | Practice Facilitator certification process includes:

  • awareness raising of the ISO 56000 series of standards and more in-depth training in ISO 56007 – Management of ideas and opportunities.
  • in-depth implementation of Incertinno®
  • training in facilitating Incertinno® based work sessions,
  • passing a final knowledge assessment test with a score of 80% or higher. This test was developed by the designer of Incertinno® and allows to validate both the acquisition of knowledge related to innovation management and the facilitation techniques related to the tool.

ESCO classification

This certificate uses the European Commission's ESCO classification. The skills developed during this training course and certified by this certificate are aligned with several of the skills identified in the European ESCO (European Skills, Competences, Qualifications and Occupations) reference framework.
