  1. Identify the objectives of the Environmental and Social Performance Standard (ESPS) 1: Assessment and Management of Environmental and Social Risks and Impacts
  2. Recognize the key changes in the requirements, processes, and instruments for IDB-financed operations under the ESPS 1
  3. Communicate the key requirements for ESPS 1:

    • Project-Specific Environmental and Social Management System (ESMS)
    • Identification of Risks and Impacts
    • Management Programs
    • Organizational Capacity and Competency
    • Emergency Preparedness and Response
    • Monitoring and Review

  4. Development and application of a project-specific E&S management system (ESMS).

Assessment

Although there was no summative assessment, the webinar was highly interactive with several opportunities for participants to engage with the content and each other and to reflect on what they had learned afterwards.
