NICE VIRTUAL EXCHANGE PROGRAMME

The holder of this Badge participated in The Network for Intercultural Competence to Facilitate Entrepreneurship (NICE) Virtual Exchange programme that took place virtually from March 4th – June 24th 2024. The programme involved working in diverse virtual teams with international students to develop an innovative and sustainable business idea that tackles a Global Challenge. Participants also completed seven interactive online modules focused on intercultural competence and entrepreneurship. During the programme, participants also took part in facilitated sessions with their team members where they practiced teamwork and cooperation. By the end of the programme, participants had worked together in their teams to create a business model canvas. By developing intercultural communication skills and working in a virtual environment, participants have further developed their employability skills to make them competitive candidates for the 21st century workplace. The NICE Programme Consortium is made up of the following university partners: -University of Amsterdam -University College Dublin -University of Edinburgh -University of Padova -Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv -Jagiellonian University -University of Johannesburg

The holder of this Badge is able to:

• Work effectively in virtual, international teams: the holder of this badge demonstrates intercultural competence and works collaboratively within a diverse team; they are able to recognise different communication styles, identify their own cultural biases, and assess their own strengths and weaknesses when working in a team

• Demonstrate effective entrepreneurial skills: the holder of this badge can successfully work within a team to create an innovative business idea which addresses a global challenge; they can identify entrepreneurial opportunities, test their business idea, take steps to secure and manage financial resources, as well as estimate the amount of start-up funds and working capital necessary to start a business

• Think critically and put theory into practice: the holder of this badge has successfully put into practice the intercultural competencies, teamwork, listening, and empathy skills learned from the modules by participating in facilitated sessions and working in a team towards a shared goal

• Engage in deep reflection and evaluation: the holder of this badge can successfully reflect on the nature of the entrepreneurial process and related decision-making processes in relation to collaboration, teamwork and self-confidence

Criteria

Attended at least 2 live virtual sessions, attended at least 5 facilitated sessions, and completed all of the online modules and four milestone assignments, including the creation of a Business Model Canvas
