Founded in 2016, The Rebus Foundation is a Canadian Registered Charity and global non-profit organization dedicated to advancing open publishing, open educational resources (OER), open pedagogy, and joyful learning.
Rebus Open Publishing Project Certificate Facilitators:
In order to achieve the following program goals:
Apply project and team management skills to scope your open publishing project and sustain it through completion
Articulate your OER's story to strengthen your team's shared vision and communicate its value to broader audiences
Integrate universal design and accessibility into every stage of the publishing process, from project planning through release
Design an OER that aligns structure, pedagogy, and assessment to the resource's learning outcomes and the students they serve
Establish peer, accessibility, and classroom review processes that strengthen your OER and signal its quality to adopters and institutions
Steward your OER beyond publication through maintenance planning, adoption tracking, impact assessment, and strengthening institutional capacity for future open publishing
Additionally, they participate in a virtual community of practice with other facilitators to refine their teaching methods, strengthen their networks, and collaboratively improve the Rebus facilitator pathways program.
