The Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt badge is awarded to a participant who has completed Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt training as part of Aalto University’s course on Quality and Performance Management. The training is based on the textbook A Guide to Six Sigma and Process Improvement for Practitioners and Students (Gitlow, Melnyck, Levine) and includes calculation exercises using sample data and statistical process control tools. The participant understands the fundamentals of process and quality management, data analysis, and process variation. The participant is familiar with key process improvement methodologies and the execution of Six Sigma projects based on the DMAIC model. Competence is demonstrated through a multiple-choice examination assessing understanding of the Six Sigma Body of Knowledge.
