What I learned:
*
I learnt that the badges provide a credible way to document and validate competencies acquired through training and hands-on practice, making them portable and recognisable beyond the institution where they were earned.

How I can use what I learned:
*
At The Rigg Makerspace, this creates an opportunity to recognise and celebrate the practical skills that members gain through training, projects, and everyday participation in the space. Whether someone has mastered workshop safety, 3D printing, digital fabrication, electronics, renewable energy systems, entrepreneurship, or community leadership, the Badges provide a trusted way to showcase those achievements. Members can build a digital portfolio of verified skills that can be shared with employers, educational institutions, funders, and innovation partners. Starting in Bulawayo, it has the potential to champion a shared badging system that can be adopted by other makerspaces across Zimbabwe and eventually throughout Southern Africa. This would make it easier for makers to have their skills recognised wherever they go, encourage collaboration between spaces, reduce the need for repeated training, and help build a stronger, more connected maker community whose skills are recognised both regionally and internationally.

Suggestions for the presenter/facilitator(s):
If more examples and case studies can be shared during the presentation, it would help us relate and better understand how the solution can be implemented in our current t settings.
OPTIONAL: Let us know how we can improve future sessions, including additional topics you'd like to learn about.
